NARI

NARI means Quality

This association’s professional standards maximize your remodeling investment.

It takes the expertise and coordination of a village to accomplish a remodeling project. Remodeling contractors, product manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, utilities, lending institutions and trade publications all play an important role in a successful completion. Yet, homeowners are acutely aware of the fact that not all of these industry players produce results of equal quality.

That’s why the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has found such an appreciative audience of homeowners who want the very best value and enjoyment for their remodeling dollars. This Association hearkens back to the FDR era and has evolved over time along with the remodeling industry.

NARI has 58 chapters nationwide and its membership consists of full-time remodeling professionals who have undergone an extensive screening process, a certification program and who adhere to NARI’s strict Code of Ethics. These requirements distinguish NARI professionals from run-of-the-mill workers, says NARI’s Diablo Chapter president Jim Vivrette, who is also president of Walnut Creek-based Altera Design and Remodeling, Inc.

“We may be in a new economy” says Vivrette. “But what is not new is that homeowners still expect quality workmanship. That being said, they should be talking to NARI members. Our standards of excellence and ethical conduct ensure homeowners will receive the best value for their projects. The strength of our professional commitment is an important reason why NARI has grown so rapidly throughout California during the last twenty years.”
